Kirk Douglas’ account of making “Spartacus” published in Persian

TEHRAN – “I Am Spartacus: Making a Film, Breaking the Blacklist”, American actor and author Kirk Douglas’ story about the making of the legendary gladiator film “Spartacus”, has recently been published in Persian.
The book was originally published in 2012, over fifty years after Stanley Kubrick directed the acclaimed epic historical drama.
Douglas, who was the producer of the film, starred as Spartacus and the film became one of the most successful movies at the time, which won four Oscars.
The book also has a foreword by American star George Clooney.
Douglas is the author of ten works of fiction and memoir including “The Ragman’s Son”, “My Stroke of Luck” and “Climbing the Mountain”.
